Cars always ready. Great service. I use Avis Preferred and I just pick up the key. It's free! Everyone should sign up for this service. Return car full or gas is VERY expensive if they fill.

Now, I will say that the management responded quickly, professionally, and appropriately to my voicing a complaint about the whole matter. She called and we spoke about what happened in detail, and she made the situation right with me and promised that this particular desk woman would be counseled on her behavior. So while I didn't have a pleasant experience, I do appreciate that management cares and took action.
The return of the car was a total nightmare. The woman at the desk didn't mention that I had a weekly rate and by returning the car an afternoon early I would be going to a daily rate, costing me an extra $130. She waited until she closed out my account to inform me. I said ok, give me the keys back I'll return it tomorrow. Nope, can't do that. I left. What proceeded after that was multiple harassing phone calls from said desk girl.
Said "Card Not Accepted", Absolutely Ridiculous!!!! Now I'm stranded at the airport. Never again. At any location, anywhere.
I'm conflicted in writing this review. I paid for my rental up front, and didn't have the mystery fee issue that others experienced. The initial renting of the car was a very pleasant and fast experience.
Avis Rent A Car
The staff is professional and courteous, however, I believe Avis corporate should do a better job of explaining all the extra charges before you sign up for it. For example my 54.99 a day rental turned into 115$ a day. Airport charges 11% extra "convenience" fee, and also a 10$ extension fee nobody told me about. It's just a massive list of extra fees that I have to call BS on. . Renter beware.
Do not rent here. I got a car with low air tires and had to use their service to fix and the guy could not do it. Whaaaaaat??? He told me he had to take tire off and bring it back. So i took car to auto place to have them do it. Then i get a bill from avis saying i owe them 76.00 for 6 gallons of gas. Why? Because in the fine print in the multiple page doc you are coerced to sign because other people are waiting in line gor the one person behind the desk to serve em, if you drive over 75 miles, then they charge you over 9 dollars a gallon.....whaaaaaat??? To add insult to injury the lady who called to demand 76.00 for 6 gallons of gas, informs i violated the contract by putting air in the tires...ignoring the fact their own roadside assistance could not do it. Whaaaaaaat??? Use another car rental at avl. Dont use avis. Complete ripoff and car was crap
