Fast and friendly. I had reserved a mid sized sedan but they didn't have one when I got there, so they upgraded me to a very nice SUV at no extra charge. The attendant in the parking lot ( both of them ) were as nice as they could be. So helpful. Went above and beyond the call of duty.
The customer service at this location was outstanding. Not only did they provide a free upgrade vehicle, but when I exchanged the car for a smaller SUV, it took no time at all. We wish every car rental agency worked as effectively and efficiently as this one!
We purchased one of their "Drive Happy" Deals..and we weren't! Its just a way for them to get rid of cars that nobody wants to drive. We are a retired couple renting a car in the smokey mountain area and the young kid behind the desk gave us a Chevy Camaro. A totally stupid car for anyone much less Seniors.Front windshield the size of a matchbook, back and sides almost non existent..2 door with no back seat for extra passengers..my son had to ride with his knees up to his chin. The line inside was too long to wait for another one so we were stuck with it for 2 days. The Alamo guy on the lot just shook his head and grimaced when he gave us the keys.
We used Alamo car rental on a recent trip through the Asheville airport. It was the fastest check-in and return I’ve experienced and I’ve been renting cars for over 40 years.
The car was dirty, windshield not clean and smelled like a smoke shop! I called the manager and she told us to drive an hour back to the airport and they would exchange the car with us? We bought some air freshner for cars and left it in the rental over nite and that helped alot. Alamo doesn't care what condition the car is in when you arrive! Try another car rental company, not Alamo!
