Called to get a competitive quote on timing belt and valve cover gasket service (w list of replacement parts provided) for my Audi A6.... but they refused to give me a quote without me leaving the car with them for a full, in person, inspection.
I don't know much about cars, but I do know you have to take really good care of them. It's hard to find a mechanic that's on YOUR side. When I first moved to this area, I was unsure where to take my car because I didn't know who to trust. An emergency fluid leak had me pull into this place as it was the closest... and I couldn't believe the service I received! They explain everything thoroughly without patronizing you. They are transparent about costs and give you a thorough breakdown. They honor their warranties. I no longer worry about when the next surprise will be. I know which repairs are upcoming and how much they will cost. I recommend them to everyone, and even after moving 30 minutes away I still drive down there to get the best service.
Bruce runs an honest and responsive business; something you don't find often enough in today's automotive service and repair market... Always going above and beyond in service, diagnostics, and thoughtful (and cost-conscious) repair options, I highly recommend International Auto Works to my friends and family.
I live, literally, down the block from them... but I would rather drive elsewhere if they aren't willing to give me a basic quote over the phone. I had no trouble getting the same quote from everyone else I called.....
This visit was for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2008 Mini Cooper. As usual everything went smoothly as Joe greeted me upon arrival and double checked with me to ensure those were the two items needing service. After a reasonable and comfortable wait I drove away with a clear understanding of what was done and the confidence it was all done right (since it has always been that way on prior visits).
I guess they don't want neighborhood referrals...
